    You always have so many things to do. Yet it can be such a challenge for you to really ‘see’ the problem, the risk, the opportunity. Problems, risks and opportunities all come together in dilemmas – especially dilemmas for leaders in seeing the real nature of the choices that they face.

  • Together

    You always have yourself with you, whatever work you do. This is where you act from, what you bring, what you risk using up, and where you grow. But in our experience, organisations really struggle with how to develop ways of working where you can bring more of yourself to work.

  • Feedback

    How well are you doing? What does ‘good’ look and feel like? We are all working in data rich environments, but often there is a real challenge in fitting the picture together so that it makes sense. And who decides what makes sense?  In our experience how we feed one another – and how we attend to need – is key to the capacity to innovate.

    There is always a system; there are often many systems. They are invisible and at play with one another. Yet these systems make all the difference to what’s possible. Small and large, the system shapes what things mean. In many respects leadership belongs to the system.

  • Context

    You work in a context. The context shapes you and you shape the context continually. But we often generalise about it, and don’t notice what really matters in this particular situation. We struggle to balance complexity and the specifics of an individual context – for a client, for a colleague, for a team.
